Kyoka Sushi - Barcelona

Extremely slow service and sub par quality sushi. I went there because I wanted to eat a quick bite, I left an hour later extremely disappointed.

During a recent trip to Barcelona, my party of five decided to try this Japanese restaurant across the street from the hotel. The place was full of people so we figured food must be good. That assumption was wrong! The waiters were very arrogant, uncaring and didn't bother to greet us as we were seated without menus. Ten minutes later, he tossed menus on the table and left. 15 minutes later he comes back, I ordered some hot sake and 10 minutes later he comes back with the most disgusting tasting cold sake. Another arrogant waiter comes by and I attempt to get the sake returned and he states I don't speak English. We ordered food before the sake and 15 minutes still no food or contact with the waiters. A female employee who was very nice came by and took the sake to be warmed. We're 45-50 minutes into this ordeal and still no appetizers, the arrogant waiters seat 4 people at the table next to us and 15 minutes in they have everything they ordered. Finally we decided it's best to leave. I leave the money for the sake and we get up to leave after 1.3 hours. We walked into the place so hungry and disappointed that the service was amongst the worst I ever recieved.

A like the concept that you could choose three dishes from the menu and got a lunch menu with drink for 10 euro. That’s a great price. Plenty of yummy dishes to choose from. Something for everyone. Japanese food and sushi. The food tasted really well. I would recommend this place for lunch, maybe not for dinner since the premises wasn’t what I would like to dine in. Nothing wrong with them but more like a lunch place for me. Ok toilets.

La comida es muy sabrosa. Llegamos temprano y el servicio ha sido muy rápido pero.....al llenar el restaurante, han perdido nuestro pedido y si no hubiéramos hecho otro papelito, estaríamos hasta ahora esperando que nos llevaran. O sea, los fines de semana la cosa se complica.

Todo perfecto, para disfrutar de comida japonesa a un precio asequible
