When I first dined at Emchai, the food was amazing - the appetizers were excellent, hot, and fresh, and the main course was well-cooked and flavorful. Now, it seems like they have started cutting corners. The appetizer plate tastes as if it was frozen and simply reheated, and the main course, such as the beef and black bean sauce, was chewy and overcooked. The service was lacking as well, as there did not seem to be enough staff. It seems to me that they have changed chefs over the years, leading to a decline in quality.
There for dinner with my friend, while at celebrations from Australia, was disgusting when we saw a huge bald waiter working there to pick up his face hair, eat very expensive and terrible tasting. drinks were 3 pounds each..empty restaurant without customers and very sparse...decor..When we go to Great Britain, we will never go to this place again.huge disappointment.
We had the Thai calamari, thom yam goong, thom kha chicken soup that were delicious. my sohn had the Massamum-Rind-Curry with reiswind that he had enjoyed, I had the Phad-Thai that had no taste. about all good food and great service I have. this facility in pastness visited when it was earlier emachai
Eating is delicious and the cook, owners and team know what they do. this can be the best restaurant in chipping barnet at this time. I have dined some paintings and never disappointed. Last time I had the grilled. lachs with lemongrass minz erdnusss, with sticky cocose rice and it was delicious: the rich butter aromas of the grilled salmon and eddies that cing against the bed freshly picked crickets, including mint that it was served. the sticky cocose rice perfumed, but not too sweet or forward, a good foil for richer aromas, while it is delicious and satisfying by itself. the green tea ice cream is also delicious: an adult aroma, not too sweet but interesting, and moreish. the restaurant is well equipped and comfortable. it's worth a visit.
A beautiful Thai restaurant. a real gem. fresh ingredients, delicious fish and a good selection of vegetarian and vegan foods. home made gloomy and ice/sorbs. I'm looking for a return. a real tasty bite if they really eat good quality at a reasonable price...price
