Contribuer aux commentairesThis place is absolutely crazy the owner forced us to pay in cash would not give us a receipt we had to go buy our own sheets for the bed they wouldn't give us towels every day we had to request them there's no pool that they advertised and there is no fitness center that they advertise the place is dirty and it stinks we had to go purchase our own toilet paper this is supposed to be a hotel I went to visit my mom and because I was there 3 days he wanted to charge an additional $750 per week for me to be there the guys out of his mind
The outside looks pretty good right? Those beautiful lights you see at night are amazing. This place needs to change its advertising name because it is actually the crossroads inn. I will assume they have still advertise as the Howard johnson to to hopefully get more customers. But soon after entering is when the HORROR BEGINS. My 3 month old son, my significant other and myself had made a pretty long journey today and needed to rest. He carried the diaper bag and my breast pump supply bag inside as I carried our son in his carseat. Once getting to our room he set the bags down and I placed the carseat on the table to do my little hotel inspection as I would. My significant other returned to the truck to move it and the trailer to a parking area. First I pulled back the mattress protector and found no cover, okay whatever... which made me further look for bed bugs... I then lifted the box spring and there they were, BED BUGS. As quick as I could I threw on the diaper bag, pump bag and grabbed my son. I frantically looked for my phone and could not find it. I previously heard a child in a nearby room say daddy when I heard a knock at a door I carefully peaked my head out of the door and saw another female and told her frantically and her significant other had then heard I told them that they could come look and held the door open, and instructed him what to do. He aswell saw them. Thankfully they left aswell or i would have been hovering at the door waiting for my significant other to come in to leave because i was nervous, being a young smaller female in a much larger city area then what I used to and do not know the area. Other then that I can said the paint had been chipped away from walls and doors but the main concern BED BUGS.
Don’t waste your time at this dump! You’ll regret it instantly!!! Rooms were dirty, the place smells and the staff all seem lost. Had to get a refund.
My daughter called to book this while we were on the road. Upon finding the address, I saw that it was NOT a Howard Johnson hotel but was calling it self the Crossroads. Unlit parking lot, we were very tired so my wife registered and walked to the room hoping for the best. Halls were not air conditioned, upon opening the door I observed that the room was in disarray. We walked back to the desk and stated we will not be staying and to please cancel. Very sketchy place. Upon arriving home, I found that they charged my credit card TWICE for a room I never stayed in. Run, don't walk away from this dump.
This place is actually called the Crossroads Inn or something like that but advertise with Howard Johnson (it's not Howard Johnson or its affiliates AT ALL) so people can book with them so its definitely false advertisement. The place looks appealing on the outside but the inside is very old and dusty. There is a pool but it's open from 11 am to 1030 pm. There is also a fitness area but I didnt catch the info for that. It smells very musty and no air circulation in the halls so hold ur breathe till u get in ur room. When we got in the room...it smelled of mildew and old carpet (no I'm not exaggerating) The bed was clean and thank god pest free but there where these spots on the linen...I'm guessing from just reusing them so much like wear and tear. The carpet was actually sticky so keep ur shoes on...there is a flat screen not a latest model but definitely doable...there is a microwave and a small fridge in the room. There is also an ac/heater which worked fine both ways for us. The shower rod was on the verge of falling off so we were extra careful. The towels were completely white which was reassuring that their was no spots on it. The sides of the sink and tub needs new chaulking because its turning colors. No little kitchenette for you to cook and we wasnt served breakfast. They have a clock there with the wrong time lol but it did have the usb ports so u can charge ur devices. The was a coffee machine but it is very dirty and nasty on the inside. There is no wifi through out the hotel it actually says at the front desk wifi is only for the lobby area. The staff was actually rude and unprofessional which I was shocked about...they dont even care either. Their appearance or demeanor was very careless and with smock attitudes. There is a notice on your room door that says no smoking and if they suspect it they will charge $150 to your card at anytime which is alarming. It's a bit overpriced if u asked me for the service and quality of the hotel...it should definently be less than $100 a night for sure. It says it's for families but I wouldnt suggest such a place to bring ur children...the vibe is more of a motel for where u bring escorts for a good time smh sad but true. Everything in the area closes at 11pm except for taco bell so be prepared for that. Lots of restaurants right across the street tho. If you can avoid staying here I would highly recommend you to do so.
