Saigon Garden - Bastrop

Wow! What a surprising treat! This was absolutely delicious and ingredients seemed extremely fresh. The owner just moved here from Houston and opened up the restaurant. He came to our table to check up on our meal and was very friendly. What a nice hidden gem here in Bastrop. We came here for lunch before going on a hike at Bastrop State Park coming from Austin, TX. I recommend this little shop!

We stopped by for lunch at Saigon Garden today. Staying here from Dallas at a nearby resort. The food was very good, the cafe is spacious. We ordered grilled chicken with noodles and rice from the kid's meals menu and for adults a noodle bowl with chicken and a steak pho with 2 shrimp spring rolls from the lunch menu. Very reasonably priced and healthy options. Portions were quite large. Would definitely come back here on the next vacation.

Let me start by saying that I was a boutique restaurant designer for 35-years and I urge you to try Saigon Garden! Having lived in NYC, Honolulu, Seattle and Los Angeles (don't ask how I wound up in Bastrop... , and being a connoisseur of genuine Asian foods and a lover of a good bowl of Pho, the current brother and sister team running Saigon Garden in Bastrop are a welcome breath of fresh air in a good-food abyss. Their food, their service, and the cleanliness of their restaurant, is excellent! Try it, you will love it!

Love this place! There is such a cozy feel to this restaurant and it is, obviously, family run. Being a restaurant run by a close knit family, makes all the difference in the food quality and flavor. The owner says that he puts extra care it's all his dishes, and it shows! Great spring rolls and Pho! My go to dish is vermicelli and it never disappoints! Do you self a favor, if you're looking for good Vietnamese food in the Bastrop area, stop on by and you won't be disappointed!
