The Royal Regent Cantonese - Bathgate

If there was an option to give this place a zero, I would. I have been a customer here for years, but recently it has deteriorated. The waiters are rude and lack customer service skills. One staff member even confronted us for leaving food on our plate, despite us explaining that it contained everyone's leftovers, including food that had been picked up from the dirty floor. Their behavior was like that of bullies, and we definitely will not be returning. I advise everyone to avoid this place.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Royal Regent restaurant. The food was average and I was enjoying my time with my family until one of the waiters acted rudely towards us. My young son didn't finish his meal, and we were criticized for it. When I tried to complain, I was treated disrespectfully. As we were leaving, we were wrongly accused of not paying, and the staff were aggressive towards us. This whole ordeal left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I love the food at this restaurant, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are great for the quality of the food.

Just back from here. The place has drastically gone downhill. I needed to use the ladies before starting my meal and I was absolutely disgusted first off at the state and smell/ condition they were in. Thereafter the food selection was poor, food was cold, and not up to standard at all. One of the Waiters had not washed In a while by the odour coming from him. The Waiters/ waitresses although pleasant enough, are literally hovering over you until you put your cutlery down. The whole experience was Very uncomfortable. The restaurant was too warm windows steamed up no ventilation and is cramped in to the bargain. Didn't even ask to open a window, as after a small portion, we couldn't get out of the place quick enough. Won't be back. Don't go!!! Unless u fancy a big let down and want to be put off Chinese/ Cantonese food for good. Robbery.
