Coonan's Irish Hub - Bay City

I absolutely adore the hometown vibe at Coonan’s, where everyone is friendly and welcomes you by name—especially Kim! The selection of draft beers is fantastic. I ordered the Olive Burger, which was just okay, but my brother had the Hub Burger Deluxe, and it was excellent. The service is consistently great, and it’s always heartwarming to see Kim Coonan stop by to give my mom a hug.

I tried the pulled pork nachos, and they were just alright. The patty meat was consistently good, and the service was pleasant. However, dining outside was less than enjoyable due to the messy atmosphere—it resembled a neglected, dirty yard with dead plants, disorganized furniture, and tables that were too small for proper dining. Overall, it seems like the outdoor space could really use some care and attention.

This restaurant is a family-run neighbourly bar where they feel at home immediately. we visit all the time and it's always great. we never had a bad or even moderate service or eating. recently we had a big party on the terrace on a busy Friday night. we had 20-25 people and our waitress was the best I've ever seen on a big party. kelsey never made a single mistake and her response time was practically instant for everything, including eating, drinks, extra sauces and something. we gave her all an applaus at the end of the party. Although in my experience at coonanen, which is of course par. the waiter here is the best in bay city after my opinion. the waitress here is always friendly and positiw. you will always stay full and in great mood! I cannot recommend coonans enough!

This is a very popular neighbourhood bar and restaurant. beautiful variety of daily specialties, very friendly staff. the owner comes around the tables and ensures that everything is good. they have a daily Facebook video.with what their specialties are. the seedreck is ready. the sandwiches look great, and of course their alcohol and beer selection looks well rounded. you shouldn't be disappointed. Stop soon.
