There is a wide variety of food options to suit everyone's tastes. The view from the restaurant is stunning, right by the water.
I visited this restaurant twice to give it a fair shot, but unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The service was terrible, with our server not knowing the menu well and forgetting that they didn't have any taps available. The food was poorly prepared, dry, and seemed like it had been sitting out for too long. Our bill for two people, including drinks and dessert, came out to over $150, which seemed a bit pricey for the quality we received.
I came here for a date night farewell. Firstly, I would like to mention that this restaurant has a beautiful dining room with a lot of potential. Over the years, they have displayed many paintings. It has had its ups and downs. It is the only nice restaurant in the area, so I hope they work hard to develop a good menu, excellent service, and loyal customers. The menu is small, so hopefully it rotates as we would like to try all the dishes in a few visits. We started with soups, the tomato and fish, both of which were good. Unfortunately, they were not served with fresh bread and were a bit expensive at $7.99 and $9.99. We both had the beef dish, which was beautifully presented with small carrots. I opted for sweet potato rounds instead of the frozen fries on the menu. Homemade Matchstick-Fries would have been a better side option. For dessert, we had a choice between bread pudding and chocolate cake. We shared the chocolate cake, which was delicious and a generous portion. The wine we had with dinner could have been chilled with an ice bucket. I found the wine prices to be high, with Apothic priced at $53, which is 279% over the cost in a liquor shop. The service was good, although it has varied over the years. I had exceptional service at this place in the past, but perhaps the current management has changed their approach. For a restaurant of this style and price range, I would expect a certain level of service and attention to detail.
The restaurant was closed! not even a continental breakfast was served. I was very disappointed when I wanted to pay homage to my friend who died and she loved scrunchins
This restaurant has a new chef who is excellent. The menu is limited while they try to determine which dishes are right for the restaurant. They have 6 and 8 oz steaks which were delicious and done correctly. The had a lamb dish, pan fried...cod with, scrunchions and a sea food linguini with mussels, shrimp, and sea scallops. All six entrees came out at ht same time and they were hot. The only down side to the meal was slow service due to limited wait staff.
