The restaurant and coffee shop is beautifully renovated and the service was excellent. The staff also gave us great recommendations for places to visit nearby.
The staff was friendly, but the food was very average. The restaurant had a 1970s vibe and a limited menu. There weren't many better dining options in the city, but the prices were fair. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.
This place had it on the day when it is not beautiful and simple old and worn out. eating was hardly acceptable and the service was slow and boring. the space is unattractive with a rather strange collection of artworks and collectors that spread around. we couldn't let the place get to anyone and thought it was our worst stop on an eight-day journey in East-NL.
This was such a terrible experience. We went in for their advertised Jiggs Dinner and a Hot Turkey sandwich. As it was a quiet afternoon, we figured the service would be prompt but were left sitting there twirling our thumbs wondering if anyone even heard...us walk in. After a good 10 minutes of sitting there waiting for the menus, someone finally did come to hand us our menus. In order to see and taste any salt meat, you had to have amazing vision and taste buds because frankly, a couple of slivers no longer than 1 inch long does not constitute salt meat as an ingredient! The liquor was bland at best and didn't hold any flavour whatsoever! I asked for a glass of water and was given a glass that I'm sure would be considered small for a child! I felt like a giant holding a tiny shot glass! The soft drink, which I ordered a large size came in a glass not much bigger than the little shot glass the water came in. I would say the large glass had no more than 1 cup worth of soda inside and that's being extremely generous! My friend had the hot turkey sandwich which was as dry as turkey jerky! The amount of turkey on the sandwich itself was pretty pathetic. The meat was obviously frozen when we ordered and all they did was throw it into a pot with a chicken or turkey stock to moisten and heat it up quickly. The freezer burn was very noticeable in the taste. The fries tasted as if they were frozen fries very much like a McCain type frozen fries. Unfortunately for them, this was our first and LAST time we'll ever eat there.
