Excellent food, cold beer and fast friendly service....what more could you ask for!!! We walked in with a hockey team and they made everything work for us without issue!! Thanks again Renegades!!!
This restaurant has changed ownership multiple times in recent years, each time failing to impress with its offerings. Previous iterations included tacky tourist decor and poorly prepared buffet food that had been sitting out too long. Despite this, the limited breakfast options in Bayfield led us to give it another chance. To our surprise, the restaurant had a new name, menu, and a much improved breakfast experience. For $6.99, you can enjoy a standard breakfast plate with eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast that is definitely worth the price. The standout item for me was their deliciously seasoned home fry potatoes, cooked perfectly and generously portioned. The breakfast sausages are also a highlight, with two full-sized farmers sausages that are incredibly tasty. The restaurant's name, Renegade, seems fitting as they are breaking the mold and offering quality food instead of the disappointing options of the past. I am happy to support their delicious revolution with a 5-star review.
This restaurant offers great value with prompt and friendly service. It was the perfect spot for a quick lunch. We both opted for items from the breakfast menu; I chose the Monte Cristo sandwich with Renegade Potatoes. The portions were generous for the price. The restaurant is popular with families, couples, and seniors, and it's easy to see why. Overall, a good place to dine!
Of course the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good because it's Canada, but the food was absolutely awful. I had blueberry pancakes that weren't fully cooked and had no flavor whatsoever. My girlfriend had an omelette. Fortunately they haven't figured out a way to extract all the flavor from eggs so that much was actually edible. Needless to say I will never return to this place. Very disappointing!
