My workout buddy and I used to train on base at RAF Mildenhall, then pop over to Mickey's, where he would make us the biggest, most delicious, tuna specials! We were pretty big boys at the time and he always took care of us. I can remember them to this day...and I remember Mickey too, such a sweet person, always so friendly. Hope you are well Mickey!! 1984/85.
Great place. Decent food, friendly people, good place to stop for a morning cup of tea or a homemade lunch.
Honestly the most comfortable place to eat. Food is consistently great, no matter what dish I order. Honestly surprised there isn't more traffic in this historic little restaurant. Talking with staff is always a treat. I would certainly miss dining here once my time is through and I've moved on. It will be the first place I take in processing airmen, and it will be the place I take friends and coworkers.
