The bar is beautiful; we had to sit there because we 't made a reservation - I recommend you. I almost never try a restaurant 's special cocktails because they are usually terrible, but the names of these and the descriptions were too good to go up. I had a rye rock potion called Bruno Rico and my wife had a reef on a Manhattan called High Street; they were both excellent, balanced drinks. We started with a catch of the Tag Ceviche. The fish was beaten and it was the best I had since ancient Mexico. They serve him with slices of warm roasted sweet potatoes on which to eat; the contrast to the cold, acidic fish shed was brilliant. My wife had shrimps and grits and I had the day 's taco trio, that was coconut chicken with peanut sauce on maize tortillas (they very favor gluten-free options for most things, so if you're in this kind of thing... Everything was great. The Griss were fluffy and creamy, the tacos were delicious, the shrimps were perfectly cooked. We had several drinks, the app, two dinners and a fantastic banana pudding for about a Hundy. Not the cheapest place in town, but super reasonable, given the quality.
We ate in the neighborhood last night and I still smile. A very beautiful experience, from the kindness of the staff to the amazing food; he had the falafel tzatziki plate, I had the beans and Greens Tacos. We then shared the most fab dessert, a kind of churro style choc waffle with homemade salt caramel ice cream melt over it (I cannot stop thinking about it). Nice to have this place in town.
A large, diverse menu that offers southern, Latin, middle eastern and American flavors with as many seasonal, local ingredients as they are available. The food is excellent and good price. The house cocktails are amazing (Check out Waldron's Inferno if you like it hot) and the staff are great (especially attractive Jon). And then falafel tho...
Celebrate our anniversary in the neighborhood. We sat in the bar area and both our waiter, Dillan, and the bartender delivered an excellent service. The blackberry brick was excellent. We had the Cajun Shrimp and Grits and the Gyro Shwarma Plate. Both were perfect. Gyro plate is deconstructed and not the traditional sandwich. Fresh green and tomatoes with a Greek dress, feta, excellent pita and real lamb and beef swarm. Well seasoned and perfectly grilled shrimps and spicy fresh sauce stacked on a long rectangle of crispy fried polnta was a refreshing take on a southern classic. The homemade salted caramel ice cream was served on a churro waffle sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Correctly made overcast coffee went perfectly with it. We'll be back.
This is my second time here. And it was Yum! So things are consistent. Great drinks, service and food. The fries are phenomenal and an indulgence as a gluten free (not by choice) person, I rarely enjoy. All the food that I had was delicious. Try the shrimp and grits awesome.
