Chilangos Mexican Restaurant

We like authentic Mexican food. Travelled to Mexico for this and we were impressed with the flavours in Mexico. Not the same at Chillangos Mexican Restaurant. Nothing impressed with this restaurant, from the hot and stuffy atmosphere to the awful mole they serve. We ordered some dip thing as an app, disappointed. We ordered entrees for two of us, disappointed. We left over 1/2 of the meals and no one asked us why???? So much for customer service. I think the best part was the Mex beer my husband ordered. So sad.Afraid I would have to recommend you skip this place, just not worth it.

This is a great Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican recipes, a nice atmosphere and the best patio in the city.

We are locals writing after our second visit in the past year.It's just great. If you are in the mood for Mexican food, you won't be disappointed.Public parking is 1 1/2 blocks down. The main room is bright and airy. The patio out back has a nice view of the Moira River.The restaurant itself is charmingly decorated and spotless. The staff is patient and polite. Their kitchen is small, so they can get overwhelmed when the crowds appear, but that's a good thing, right?It's a dangerous game to compare restaurants of different cuisines and price points, but this might be the best restaurant in the Quinte region.

I was in Belleville on business when a friend suggested I try Chilangos. I am very impressed, I can't wait to come back and bring my wife. The 3 milk peach cake is a must try..

We thought it was taco Tuesday, decided to venture downtown and grab some Mexican grub. Well it turned into a lovely date, out on the patio, river view with the best mango margarita I have had north of the boarder. We sat outside which was absolutely picture perfect. We shared carne a la tampiquena, order it, it's delicious. A combo of spicy salsa, chicken and beef. Really great combo if you like it hot. The beef tacos were very good too. Beer was cold and the chips and guacamole excellent. Ended up throughly enjoying the setting and my "date" for the evening. Taco Tuesday turned terrific :) eat here!
