I have been recommended to go to this pub on several occasions. I heard the food wasn't your regular frozen pub food but made of fresh ingredients, they have live music on the weekends and many different beers on tap. My friend and I went Wednesday night for the wings and were very surprised! They we absolutely huge and with many different flavours to chose from. We were so impressed we decided to come back that Friday for the live music. The band was very good and very interactive with the crowd. We had burgers which were homemade and delicious with fresh cut fries. I am so impressed with this place... it will definitely be my go to for now on!
Was in here a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed in almost everything. The service was really slow almost to the point of having to go to the bar to get a drink ourselves. The two meals we ordered were awful. Bad enough that it will be a long while before I go back. We have eaten in this place before and found the food nothing special but never this bad. Not good at all. The only bright spot that unknown to us they had a band playing that night and they were great. The groups name was The Reasons. They played mostly 60's and 70's music. If the service had been better we would have stayed longer. The place wasn't all that busy when we were there. So there was no excuse. Too bad.
This was a pleasant surprise. usual bar food plus so extras no usually found in a pub.The liver onions and bacon were well cooked and fries were great. My wife had a wrap with sweet potato fries but were a pleasent suprise being lattice cut. Decor is simple but clean.
We stopped at this roadside pub for lunch before a funeral that we knew would go for a long afternoon as so many people would attend and want to talk about the person who passed on. So we wanted to have lunch early to take us through the afternoon. So we did had no idea what to expect and really did not expect much.It was a sunny day and we sat outside on the patio. There were a couple of old MG sports cars outside to give you a sense of the clientele. The service was cheerful and the list of beers on tap was impressive. But it was the burgers and real fries that hit the spot. They were huge with really fresh lettuce and a big slice of field tomato. The fries are made from fresh potatoes and you can taste the difference from the frozen sawdust that we get most of time at most places these days. This place is worth the stop.
