It is located very close to the highway, just as quick as the official ONRoute rest stops, but offers a much more serene atmosphere with ample parking. Paul and his team warmly welcomed us and suggested various menu items for us to try, even offering us a free cookie! Although we didn't take them up on the offer, the gesture was kind and hospitable. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a great place to grab a bite and take a break while on the road. It has quickly become one of our go-to spots when traveling between Toronto and Ottawa!
One of the main highlights of Subway is that their workers wear disposable gloves. The sandwiches are tasty and often come with great deals. I tend to visit this place when I'm traveling and find myself in a remote town.
We visited Kingston's House for lunch and were impressed by the very friendly customer service. We were offered free cookies as a gesture of apology for not having the type of bread I wanted. They insisted that we take the cookies, despite it not being a big deal. Highly recommended!
At 31. August 2015, on the way to Niagara Falls from Ottawa. Just when I came up with hunger tanks, we saw the sign of this diner. Its in a strange location better suited for an industrial area than a road...Stop, but we were grateful. The staff was very helpful and friendly and suggested subs that we like. If you are in the area, we recommend eating here.
