Small, slightly narrow place in downtown with a very cool ambience. Two levels each with a bar. The upper level is slightly larger (the space and the beams). The lower level seems like a bar overflow sometimes not even visited. It's not a problem that you go upstairs to get a drink. Sitting is eclectic, a lot of a lounge atmosphere, especially above where there are padded long seats. Velvet has a full bar and offers special drinks along with the usual exemptions. Small beer tap list. They have a limited menu, although what they have is generally good. It changes naturally. This week they only had Jackaroo Aussie-Piesen (probably Velvet bought the rest of Jackaroo's inventory that goes out of business). Regular menu to resume after these have gone. A rather small key music, although this may not always be the case, I don't know. With the small space it can be extremely crowded and in these days the Kovid, I will not be there during the busy times. The servers can also be overwhelmed with a packed house. With the small, probably overcrowded narrow space and with the upper floor is the better level, I cannot challenge Velvet for mobility. A OK; definitely a different kind of bar than most.
This is a must go to bar if you're going out in downtown. I loved the vibe, the ambiance, the craft cocktails, and really friendly staff. The cocktail menu is great... if only I had one more in my party then we could have got the Barrel of Peril!
What a cool place and vibe. Bartenders here are real mixologist and very good at their craft, can make any cocktails that you throw at them. Fun place to go with good friends or your date. Very enjoyable, check it out !!
