Benji's French Basque - Benton Park

2 stars for the odd tasting water and the rubber scampi.

Benjis has always been a great place to eat however, recently they have amazed me with the size of some of their portions. For nearly $10 this is the size of cheesecake I received. Very disappointed.

Although the food is terrific, I personally miss the Basque resturants of old and the sitting down to a family style meal of what they want to serve me. Benji's if beautiful food, but if the Basque name wasn't on the sign It could easily pass as just another quality restaurant. My opinion certainly doesn't take away the quality of Benji's.

Great food and friendly staff. The tongue is a little different than other basque restaurants, and I love it.

Im not sure if this is really french food. But well made. Great portions more than enough. Homemade good service great waitress cute atmosphere.
