We visited the restaurant on a sunny day in juni after visiting the house of the Wannsee Conference next door. this monument is reminiscent of the terrible conference in which the leaders of the Nazi regime have systematically planned the extermination of the Jewish people. of course it was. a very sober experience. this restaurant was the perfect place for our group to rest and reflect what we had just seen and read. the restaurant is located right in front of a harbour and offers a great view of the boats and the water. the service is very friendly and the food is delicious. I enjoyed my salad especially with chicken breast. the chicken was moist and the dressing tasteful.
Very pleasant location literally at the shore of the tub lake next to the Wannsee house. outdoor terrace, sunshades, sun rays on the water, the environment was idyllic, which seems to feel rather than nextdom. but the setting is the only one that has this place. my German is good enough to order food, and has never caused me a problem. So I ordered half a liter of beer, a liter bottle of splashy mineral water (both listed on the map), a koks, am-omemelette and the home flame. the same waiter brought the drinks first, beer and a small glass of mineral water plus the koks. odd I thought, but the waiter is thrown away before I could correct him, oh good I will order more when that comes, I thought. eating came, omellette well overcooked but it's barely, flamekeuche was in order, but as I tasted it was very hard. I asked for another beer and a bottle of water from the waitress who seemed to be bothered and brushed with one yes, yes. breathe a few flames and waited, ate a bit more, always difficult as so salty and I got more and more thirsty. waqitress missed pastness with other tables, tried to catch her eye, she ignored me. in this phase I had eaten the half of the flammekeuche, but could no longer eat without a drink. the first waiter went by, asked him, he nodded. we were waiting. at this time my wife had finished her ommellete and the flame-breaking was stone cold. it was just a few minutes now, as I had first asked for a drink and minutes since I asked the waiter. forget the drinks, we only have the bill I told him. He's a little rude, not an apology. we didn't leave a tipp.
Wow! amazing! just a few words to describe seehaase restaurant. after an intense day through the halls of the villa where the Wannsee conference has occurred, this nice little restaurant, hidden only steps away, the perfect place to sit and reflect...what happened among these buildings in the last decades. they enjoy a glass gluh wine, a coup made of suppe or a hot chocolate (it will be a bit cool through the water), as they look at the water and hear the soothing sounds of the waves. the personal is very welcoming, so don't be shy and if they can't decide what to order, they just ask. next time I'm back in berlin, this is the point I want to visit again.
Find good! after a trip to the Wannsee House we found this restaurant with view of the lake. it was a cold november afternoon, but a warm fire welcomed us. nice eating and a very friendly waitress.
This is a lovely picturesque restaurant and the food was tasty. Service was a bit slow as apparently one of the waiters was out sick. We were there on a VERY hot day and that certainly affected our enjoyment, although the lack of air-conditioning or...even a fan is something very common in the restaurants we frequented in Berlin and they did find us a nice table in the shade.
