I'm sorry to be harsh but it really seemed as though this is a restaurant opened up by people who don't know how to cook. We had the Chicken Penang curry, the noodles Tatung and Chot Poti as a starter, The food was bland and tasteless. The curry mainly consisted of boiled chicken pieces in a flavourless yellow sauce. The rice it was served with was overlooked. The noodles too were nothing like springy thin Singaporean noodles that I have much enjoyed in the past. They were bland overcooked wheat flour/egg noodles with the same boiled chicken and some bell peppers served with a small portion of what looked and tasted like ketchup. Truly disappointing. The Chot Poti was the only edible element of the meal. It was a warm salad with chickpeas, tomatoes and cucumber slices. Simple, slightly spicy, nothing special at all and yet the most flavourful element of the meal. We finished our even filling ourselves up with potato chops and gummybears instead. Truly disappointing experience.
We were traveling in Australia, Italy, Hungary, and Germany for 3 weeks. This dinner was the best. The Italian also tasted great, but we paid at least double. I hope they can come to New York and open one restaurant in my neighborhood.
New location for this restaurant and now it's more beautiful, tastier and just better : Food was great and the new menu offers a lot of dishes for vegetarians and vegans as well. The owner is lovely and friendly. prices are good and cocktails for 4.5 Euros always make my day. We really enjoyed it.
I went to the Restaurant Taste with a couple of friends at the end of a pretty [censored] day. We all set down and were welcomed warmly by the nice staff. The food was as the name might implies very tasty! The cocktails were also great and maybe more important pretty affordable). The appetizer salad had to grow on me a bit, but turned out to be scrumptious.
The staff is really nice, the lunch offer is pretty cheap (around 4.90€ for a soup, a salad, and a dish with rice). Portions are reasonable, the food was okay, a bit bland to my taste but I will probably try something else next time ! It tasted fresh and homemade tho.
