Waited almost an hour for our meals and had to board to ask how the people who ordered us had to get meal before! Once the kiewer finally came out, it was burned and almost unusable. the vegetables were barely cooked and also difficult to eat. disappointed
Quite bad food. Neither my partner nor I finished our food. The mussels were gritty, the prawns chewy and the calamari like rubber bands. Do not bother. There are much better places in Bermagui.
The seafood platter for two was really good and there are a lot of good menu choices, great wine selection and happy efficient staff. Being the beginning of winter they were not really busy but still a nice vibe.
The Bermagui Beach restaurant has been in operation for a hundred years under various names. The dining area is now known as The Bistro, offering a seafood Italian menu. The desserts are homemade and vary regularly. The atmosphere can be bustling in summer and very quiet in winter. Highly recommended.
