Unfortunately, what people aren’t aware of is the recent change of ownership. What a disappointing experience at The Cozy Corner Cafe.My recent visit to The Cozy Corner Cafe in Bethel Park left me with a rather underwhelming experience. While our server was attentive and friendly, the overall dining experience was marred by a lengthy wait, subpar food quality, and a disappointing prioritization of takeout orders over those dining in.Upon seating, we were informed that there might be a short wait for our breakfast orders. However, what we initially perceived as a brief delay turned into an hour-long wait, leaving us questioning why such an extended period was necessary for simple breakfast dishes. When the food finally arrived, it was evident that the wait had not been worth it. Two of our orders had the wrong eggs, and the toast was unpleasantly hard. The shrimp and grits, which we were particularly excited about, were a major letdown. The shrimp were overcooked and had little flavor, and the grits were bland and overcooked as well. While the shortcomings of the food were significant, the greatest disappointment lay in the prioritization of takeout orders over those of in-house diners. It became apparent that the owner, who was also the chef that day, was focusing more on preparing food for takeout than on ensuring a timely and satisfactory experience for those dining in the restaurant.Despite the efforts of our attentive server, the overall dining experience at The Cozy Corner Cafe was far from satisfactory. The lengthy wait, subpar food quality, and prioritization of takeout orders created a disappointing atmosphere that overshadowed the positive aspects of our visit. I would recommend that potential diners carefully consider these factors before deciding to visit The Cozy Corner Cafe.
A very nice little casual spot for some great food at a reasonable price. Went with a few buddies and we all got different things but enjoyed them all the same and would happily return! Parking: Parking can be a little tough at peak hours, isn't a ton of spots.
My son and I loved this little gem!!! Quaint little diner amazing breakfast!! Lovely waitress coffee was always full! Thanks so much!!
My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. Good sized portions. Try the Cinnamon Roll!
Came here a few times when it was Patsy’s Place, but wasn’t impressed with the Cosy Corner. The two waitresses had three tables total and were running around as if it were 20 tables. I had the Big Breakfast and while there was a good amount for the money, I am mixed on everything I had. The sausage was mushy, waffles were hard, and the home fries were seasoned well but tasted as if they were sitting out for a while. The first impression was a smell of cigarette smoke. There were no pictures on the walls nor color and didn’t give off that inviting feeling. I don’t think we’ll be back. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with a few breakfast and lunch options.
