I forget the name of the sandwich I had but it had pastrami, corned beef and coleslaw with thousand island dressing, it was so good and they toasted the bread and it was really good. I also got a bowl of the jambalaya and it was really good, I couldn't eat it all because I was full off the sandwich but I took it home and gave it to my southern mother who had some criticisms but still enjoyed it. Definitely will go back when I'm in the area. It's always a great experience when you get customer service instead of barely being paid attention to. It was nice to have nice conversation and be treated like I was appreciated for coming to their establishment.
What an unsuspecting place! The Sicilian was phenomenal! We will surely be back. Interior was a bit rundown, but it was clean and the food filled the soul!
Per the reviews on Yelp, my husband and I stopped in for a lighter meal before hitting the road again. The server was so kind and friendly. I was ordering from an out-dated menu (on Yelp). I couldn't imagine a more gracious manner of getting me on track with my order. (I'm not always easy to please-put kindly). My pastrami sandwich was utterly delicious!!! A good combination of FRESH meats and veggies. My husband had the Sicilian sandwich and enjoyed it, 5-star review from him as well. And he's a very finicky eater. We ate everything so fast, there's no pics. Sorry
Excellent! We visited this deli merely based on Yelp! reviews/rating. A true winner! Don't be discouraged by its humble storefront. Great care has been taken to provide guests with an incredible deli fare experience. Clean. Friendly. Quality food. We had best ever Reuben and Pastrami sandwiches at very fair prices. Meat was excellent. Homemade dressing. Bread lovely. Sauerkraut was very good...not overly tangy yet highlighted Reuben sandwich. Serving sizes huge! Menu had great variety, plus there is a buffet at some time during week. A few side dishes some homemade, some shelf items. But sandwiches are his true focus and genius. Please stop by for an excellent deli sandwich...support local restaurants
This place is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the directions from Yelp led us to the Culver's parking lot, but we noticed a sign nearby that pointed us to the right location. The service was exceptional—Chef Seymour was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I initially planned to get food for my kids elsewhere since they’re not fans of gourmet sandwiches. However, Chef Seymour kindly offered to prepare some kids' meals for them, so we ordered grilled cheese and chicken strips. I was a bit let down by the quality of the chicken strips, but the kids seemed to enjoy them. Overall, our sandwiches were tasty, and the soup was well-prepared. If I find myself in Birch Run and want something better than fast food, I will definitely consider stopping by again.
