I returned to my home town to attend my mother's funeral. The room I was given was roach infested. I went to purchase Raid so I could rest a little. Never again will I stay here. I travel 35 miles away to Dothan, Alabama to get a room.
I stayed at this location several nights in a row and for a country hotel on a rural country highway this hotel is one of the top hotels that I have stayed at. The management was always friendly and willing to help when ever they could. The manager of the hotel was regularly conducting maintenance around the hotel, painting rooms and cleaning the parking lot. The room clean and well maintained. The hotel is easily accessible from HWY 27. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to spend some time or just a night near Blakely, GA.
Very clean motel and very accomadating staff. We stay there frequently and have always been treated great. The staff are very friendly and work hard to make your stay enjoyable. This is not a big resort, but a nice small Days Inn that is clean and comfortable. They offer handicap rooms as well as a pool that is handicap accessable.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this place, especially after feeling a little trepidation reading that earlier really negative review. We had to stop here in Blakely unexpectedly when our tire ripped at 8 pm on a Friday night on our way to the beach (an unfortunate 200 miles from here). We were traveling with a 3 year old and a 10 month old, and the idea of staying in a gross hotel with them was not particularly pleasing. But the night staff was really nice and helped us set up the cot for our three year old. The room was basic but totally acceptable (and I'm a little bit of a germaphobe). There were plenty of pillows, a mini-fridge, coffee pot, shampoo/soap...all the basic amenities. There's a pool that looks well kept. It looks like they even have a lowering wench to help disabled people into the water. Or maybe it's a kid-dunking chair. Not really sure on that one. The morning staff was also very nice, greeting us when we went to complimentary breakfast which included bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, coffee, juice, and other stuff. I'm a coffee nut but I was coming off a bad cold while staying there so can't really report on the quality of the coffee. Sorry you lonely Starbucks lovers. If you're sick, it tastes like hot caffeine, so can't complain. I was just expecting some cold bagels and a dirty toaster, but everything at breakfast was clean, well organized, and well stocked, so exceeded expectations there. Like I said, basic and totally acceptable. Don't shy away from stopping here if you need a place to stay. Not saying this is a vacation destination by any means, but it's a totally acceptable, clean place to stay. Thanks Days Inn for making our impromptu layover in Rando Town, Georgia more pleasant than expected!
