Papa Joe’s - BLOWING ROCK

This is definitely a hidden gem it was a Saturday morning and we were looking for breakfast there was a breakfast place next to it with people waiting in line. I'm not patient so I tried Papa Joe's! The food was wonderful the service was fast and the price was right Great job Papa Joe's!

Normally I’m not a bad review person, But I find its important to write to save somebody else the trouble. Every restaurant in the area had a wait out the door except for this one… Should have taken that as a sign. The place was very dirty, our little cup of creamer had stuff floating in it, she brought back a fresh one and still had stuff in it, All of the creamer on our table expired last month. The wall next to our booth had splattered food all over it and the bathroom was absolutely GROSS… Our eggs were weird and had literally no flavor, my biscuit was raw dough, and the hashbrowns were freezer burnt and I’m pretty sure they were microwaved. We didn’t even complain, Within seconds of getting out food, we paid our check and left with all of the food on the table.

The only thing good about this place was the service. The waitress was prompt and friendly, but she did touch my dad’s fork which was kinda weird. Anyway, I had carbonara which literally tasted like noodles in milk, my sister had pasta with clams that was sort of just fishy buttered noodles, the salmon looked (and tasted) like it had been in the freezer for several years with no cover, and the fried shrimp was unseasoned. I truly do not know how you make a house salad and French onion soup bad, but they found a way. I will not being returning and it was not worth $80 for a family dinner. We literally stopped at the Blowing Rock Market for snackies that’s were far better than this meal and then had leftovers at home.

Food was good and our server did a great job. Would definitely stop here again

Absolute worst experience ever. Waitress was rude and hateful from the get go. She was yelling and cussing at us from across the restaurant because we didn’t have our masks with us. I’m not going to allow someone to speak to me in the manner that she did. That’s not how you treat paying customers. Can’t tell you anything about the food because we left.
