A pub full of character with some well kept, well priced beers. We stopped by for a couple of pints which were tasty. The bar is quite dark with all sorts of wierd stuff hanging from the ceilings, you did feel like part of history was all around you! I hope places like this survive the current cost of living crisis, they add to the diversity of life, pop in and buy a pint!
Really great pub, excellent atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, engaging locals, we had the best time, highly recommended
We stayed at the recently renovated Bodmin Hotel and after dinner, we decided to stop by the Hole in the Wall. The locals were out in full force on a weeknight. The pub had a lot of old-fashioned decorations to look at. It had a very traditional and inviting atmosphere, despite being a bit outdated.
I attended the Hole in the Wall pub in Bodmin on a Sunday afternoon, following a conversation at the bar between friends we were confronted by what I can only describe as a mad woman. It turned out to be the manager of the bar who in my opinion had too much to drink. She shouted at us then turned her attention to me, so I tried to leave but was slapped on the face by this woman before I could leave. Tried to report this matter to Landlord but he seems to have a thing for her so would not investigate the matter. I will not be back.
