Here..from the moment we entered the owner Loris welcomed us like old friends although it was our first time, so nice And he kept on with this attitude through the entire evening, even with the mask covering his mouth you could see his eyes smiling . We were advised this place by a friend Paolo for very good “crescentine” Crescentina is a typical recipe from this region, Emilia Romagna. Depending on what side of the region you are in, you call them with different names, in Modena they’re called Gnocco Fritto. You eat them with your hands, freshly fried and filling them with cold cuts (mortadella, ham, salami ecc) fresh cottage cheese called “squacquerone” and pickles. Everything delicious with good local Pignoletto wine. No sweets after this but just some good aged grappa. This place is also original cause Loris has also a small lake on his property where you pay a fee and can fish all day taking a break near his restaurant. That’s why the restaurant is called “Laghetto” which mean pond. We had the “crescentine” but the menu changes every day and you have interesting proposals with fish or meat menu, very honest and reasonable prices. 15 minutes from the center of Bologna by car or taxi, really worth visiting!
