I decided to try a Melbourne Bitter, a beer I don't usually order, and was pleasantly surprised by how cold and tasty it was. My partner ordered a Gin and Soda which was also quite good. They had a variety of specials on offer, which was nice to see. Although there was a band set up for later in the evening, I had only stopped in for a pre-dinner drink and couldn't stay to hear them play. I would definitely be happy to go back another time.
Stopped by for a beer and a quick bite with some friends after work. The burgers were only $12, which is a great deal. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were able to easily catch the train home afterwards. Overall, a simple and enjoyable experience.
I have lived in the area for over ten years and have passed by this pub countless times, but I had never gone in until last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered the Parma and my partner had the beef pie, both of which tasted better than many other "fancier" pubs we have been to. We particularly enjoyed the chips that came with the Parma.
The pal is a classic, local establishment which my friends and I frequent for catch ups and cheap dinners when we can't be bothered dressing up, wearing makeup or generally making any effort in our appearance. Can't go past the Parma which is always delish, however can't stand it when the Parma is on top of the chips
Pleasantly surprised with the Angus beef burger. Great flavour and served with decent amount of chips. The parma was good as well just not as big as expected for a Parma
