It was so interesting to watch: the shaker, the measuring cups, the machine to slap the filmy plastic lid tightly on the cup. It's a whole tightly industrialized and slightly dystopian process. The tea is actually delicious, and you can customize it however you like, which is very nice. I would much rather pay $4.50 for a cup of this than $6 7 for an uninspired and overpriced Starbucks coffee. I got my beloved winter melon green tea, and the guy misunderstood and put milk into it, but I ended up loving it and will probably get it that way from now on. I've heard rumors that Kung Fu Tea doesn't treat its workers very well. I hope that's not true. But I did reflect that the guy who served us and who seemed to be an expert at this astounding, complicated, mechanized, tea making process seemed depressed, like he had had his soul sucked out of his body and infused into the boba. I will try not to assume that it's because he works for Kung Fu Tea.
Kung Fu Tea is just a marvelous place with delicious flavors. Cocoa Cream Wow is one of my favorites. The bubbles at this specific location are small and chewy which, for me, is the ideal for the bubbles. The cashier was a tad rude correcting me when I accidentally misprounouced the names of certain things. And the drinks are a bit on the expensive side. But other than that, a great visit.
Kung Fu is my go to boba place in the northeast region. Super good quality honey coated boba! Awesome customer service! High recommended! Must try Kung Fu milk tea! Special blend Kung fu tea.. and milk!
Wow are there a ton of selections to choose from Kung Fu Tea! Stopped in after dinner because I was craving bubble tea and I was not disappointed! It's a little tiny space so there's not much room but unless you plan on staying awhile (there is a table by the window with bar stools) that's not an issue. Service was quick. I ordered the sesame matcha which has WAY too much sesame towards the end but overall it was good. It was the perfect balance of sweet and fragrant from the boba as advertised. I don't think I'd get it again but there were a ton of drinks of the menu that looked awesome!
Asian-style drinks, perfect for a hot day. Haven't come across one that was cloyingly sweet. Tapioca pearls are soft and lightly sweetened, probably my favorite of all the pearl tea places.
