First espresso martini, excellent! service was great.

It is not open every day, so make sure they get it up before they go. it is under modern baked and most people do not even know that it is there. very cool place with friendly bartenders and owners. down there it is very loud down there, so I would say more of the amount of a younger man. we went twice, and the baked looked much better than mike.

Modern Pastry deserves far more attention than it gets. The style is old but maintained, reminisce of local bakeries from many years ago. This place is flowing with historical charm. The canolis are second-to-none. Get it chocolate dipped for an extra touch that will blow your mind.

Went downstairs with a small group of friends to enjoy dessert and drinks. We sat there for 20 minutes until a very rude waitress came over to inform us that we were not allowed to sit at the table unless we were ordering drinks or food. We informed the waitress that we had been waiting to order drinks to which she replied “you need to order at the bar we figured everyone knew” and then she left us sitting there. Did not offer us food or menus.. did not apologize for the misunderstanding (considering we had not been before and there were no signs indicating that drinks could only be ordered at the bar). Safe to say we not be returning.

A great, secret spot in the north end for delicious espresso martinis and perfectly crispy fries! But the best part is the hospitality!
