We have found that most are charging $30+ for a 16 inch pie..but then we discovered this little NY style gem and their 18 inch White Pizza (3 Cheese with sausage and butter/garlic crust. Delicious and at $23, one heckuva deal for a NY style pizza found here on the gulf coast. I saw they also offer subs, Antipasto and homemade pasta classics. And our next visit, we’re going down with some garlic knots: From the woman who took our order on the phone to the man we met at pick-up, their staff was very pleasant and welcoming.
Absolutely love Florence’s Pizzeria it’s a super cute restaurant on Manatee Ave. Yesterday I had the pleasure of trying out their Mexican Pizza for the first time and it was delicious. My kids loved it.
Was told pizza would be done in 20 minutes, showed up after 30 minutes, and waited for 10 more. Pizza was bubbled, burned, flat, soggy, and greasy.I'll eat anything, and was not discouraged by all of the latter, but found the flavor to be equally flat, greasy, and burned. I'd say it was unmemorable, but i will definitely remember my disappointment. And to top it off, there was a weird gap in my pie that looked like someone embezzled a piece out of it.Almost wanted to give it 2 stars, just for being edible, but realistically, I'll probably never order another pizza from this place.
So I went here the first time a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised with 2 delicious pizzas perfectly cooked and juicy wings smothered in sauce. As a native new Yorker I was so excited to have found this place. A few weeks later, I ordered another pie and was bummed to have something I would compare to a domino's pizza with a chewy thicker crust, and completely undercooked. I gave them the benefit of the doubt called to report the disappointment as means for them to correct the issue for their benefit. Tried them again a few days ago and the pizza was worse than the second time. This time the crust was thin but literally falling apart, the cheese was some kind of hot mess I had never seen before and the wings tasted like they had been sitting out and reheated, super dried out and barely any sauce. Idk if they lost their cook but if they don't get their act together they won't last till the new year.
This small pizza joint had some fantastic pizza. The gentleman working on the Sunday we stopped by was very nice and did a great job with the pizza. We will certainly make the trek down again. So far, the best pizza we have had in the area.
