Wakyoto is the best sushi spot around town. The food is delicious and the customer service, especially from Emma, is always amazing. My partner and I had our second date at Wakyoto and it was a great experience. Whenever I have family visiting, I always make sure to take them to Wakyoto!
Upon arrival, I quickly ordered drinks, salads, and soup. The noodles were tasty, but the sashimi was disappointing. When I mentioned this to the server, she apologized and said she would inform the chef. The rest of the meal went smoothly, but I don't think I'll be back after the unpleasant raw fish experience.
Tl. sushi is nothing to rave as everyone says. reis had no taste. the woman was over after we came home. not sure how fresh the fish or rice is. the place smelled but not fishy? first impressions: beautiful restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. waiter was nice, but confused the woman and I during the order. we ordered the fried garnelentempura because it is pregnant and needs cooked sushi. it was said that it was not cooked all the way away and that we had to choose another dish. this went to 3 or 4 times until we landed on garnelen tempura, which another waiter said, was boiled. I had the eagle eye role. was decent. a lot of taste was imitation crab. eating was generally decent. the rice was not as vinegary and mad as I like it. I almost slander. I'm not sure how fresh everything was, but the woman and I felt both kind of bad in our liking home on the way home, and she was too late after we recovered.
We were underwhelmed by our experience. The sushi was average and more expensive compared to other restaurants I've visited. The dishes included unexpected ingredients not mentioned on the menu, and an automatic gratuity was added for our party of 4. Our server was friendly, but I intended to tip her more than 18% until she included it in the bill. Overall, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
