Contribuer aux commentairesOur hotel for this long weekend was in the north of Braunschweig, and the restaurant in the house was closed on weekends. Restaurants were also very thin nearby. On the way, we had chosen this Greek restaurant, whose prices on the homepage seemed much more friendly than most of the offices in the area of downtown. There were few parking spaces in the restaurant's parking lot, but we had enough. Behind the entrance door you first come to a slightly angled staircase, a half step higher, then the actual restaurant begins. At the top of the stairs we were kindly greeted by a waiter and asked: “Two people?” When we confirmed this, he showed us a table near the vault, as an alternative we could also walk directly on the street in the lower part of the restaurant. But we were at the first table and took place. Just a few moments later the same waiter gave us the menus. In total, four waiters were active in the service tonight, their appearance varied between “joyed friendly” and “very friendly”. At the beginning of our stay they stood in the way to each other, but with increasing number of guests they came to speed up and rushed through the restaurant in a targeted manner. Food The map offers the usual menu of a Greek restaurant with some of the meat-laden mixed dishes. Gyros with frits, rice and salad is considered very cheap at €7.90, but the next position “Gyros with Zaziki” shows 9.00 € that Zaziki does not belong to the standard supplements as usual. The menu can also be found on the homepage: http: [hidden link] You can also find the lunch table offer with twelve dishes between 5,50 and 6,90 €. Madame had no great hunger and ordered the Gyros dish described above €7.90 and an apple choir 0.2l for €2.00. I chose the “Dionysosplatte, 2 Suzuki, 1 Suvlaki, Gyros, with fries, rice and salad” €11.90 and a non-alcoholic yeast beer 0.5l for € 3.60. The drinks were served quickly and were perfectly tempered. About five minutes later the salads were taken as starters. The plates were well filled, the contents consisted of shaded white wort, iceberg salad and corn grains, with a quarter tomato, a cucumber disc and two leaves rocket. Unfortunately, the white herb was quite sour, indicating the origin of the big bucket, and also the corn came from the can with quite certainty. The generously distributed cocktail sauce? was probably not even stirred. Before we had eaten the salads, the main dishes were served. As so often in Greek restaurants they were quite lush. Even the relatively small grooves with Madame from the description were quite opulent, my mixing plate almost burst the plate. And yet there was room on the edge for a small decoration with carrots. The gyroscope on both plates was cleanly grilled with beautiful crust and well seasoned, my two serrated rolls were nicely loose and seasoned with a clear garlic note. Only the meat on the Souflaki spiesse I've already got a lot of bidders, that was pretty firm. Otherwise, the supplements were good, the frits were hot and crispy, the rice well between dry and fried. The architecture of the building did not come to me, at the entrance you have to go up stairs and in the guest room you go down to the street level. Otherwise, the building was plotted with the very large quay, artificial walls, columns and arches everywhere. The furniture is made of honey-coloured wood that covers tables with white fabric tablecloths and delicate pink ceilings. There was a candle in glass candle, cutlery and napkins on dessert plates. Cleanness Immigration-free clean, with plates, glasses and cutlery there was nothing to remember. There was no reason to complain about the toilets.
Despite previous bad reviews, our experience in Achillion was ok. Yes, the ambience is not great, but the service was efficient and friendly. My special dish of several different meats was delicious. A minor complaint was that the court was a bit dry and did not come with sauces. We had to order tzatsiki separately. The free Ouzo was very appreciated and I had no problem paying with credit card. I'd like to come back.
