Marlene is located in the theatre building, right at Theodor Heuss Square, so the location is excellent. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and it is spacious, but it can still be packed in the evenings so that booking a table is recommended. The staff is friendly and there are several vegan dishes marked clearly on the menu. We have tried the Massaman curry, the Falafel plate and the vegan sausages, and while all dishes were fine, they could still be a little tastier. Both the curry and the falafel were quite dry. The sausages were better. Due to the lack of better options, this is still one of the best restaurants in Bremerhaven for vegans! Last visit in February 2023
We were well advised, friendly service. Quite lush selection, from appetizers to desserts. And everything really delicious!
Some vegan dishes on the menu. We had falafel, homemade pommes and bowls. Ordinary portions and delicious! Unfortunately no more space for dessert : Super friendly service. No offer of vegan warm drinks, such as no vegetable milk for coffee, as to small demand, the waiter.
There are several vegan options, for appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Everything tasted very good to us. The service was friendly. The cocktails alone were a little too sweet for our taste. If we're back in Bremerhaven, we'll be back for dinner, but next time without cocktails.
