Smitty's Cafe And Bakery - Brenham

We came to Smitty's on the basis of a local recommendation and enjoyed our meals in this inconceivable place (Pretty cool decommissioned gas station) on both visits. We recommend chickens and waffles for breakfast and the Firecracker Burger for lunch. The service was both attentive, although it was unclear at our first visit that we should collect our own menus and napkin cutlery rolls before we sit down ourselves. During our second visit we were old hats. During our first visit, the Internet service was down, so they could only accept cash, and it took some time for our server to come to our table. Prices were higher than expected, especially for breakfast items, but I assume this is for the course for our time. Thanks for the service and delicious food!

This came to a search for coffee shops, but it is definitely a café/restaurant not a grave and go type coffee shop. Breakfast was a little expensive and they were served today from important articles (such as cookies for cookies and Gravy ordered toast). I give him 4 stars because the service was good. Desserts looked delicious and it's a sweet atmosphere. Maybe better in the evening looks like serving a good selection of beer.

Smitty's was so good! We came to breakfast and had the pancakes and chickens and cookies. Both were delicious. Excellent service and love the decor.

There is a rebuilt petrol station. Very cool. Our super friendly waitress was on the service, although the kitchen was a bit slow (it was really busy when we arrived. The food was excellent and worth waiting. Coffee was also really good (I am an ice American, but they only have hot brew coffee and I still liked it!

Don't let the unassuming facade fool you. This is a great country cooking restaurant. I got the half order special of country fried steak and mashed potatoes, then added fried okra. The fried okra was probably the best I've had in a decade or more. The fried steak was a substantial portion a full order could probably feed a family and it was so good. Crispy crust with delicious gravy. The people are friendly and the service is fast. If you are in Brenham and hungry, you have to stop here!
