We were turned away from the door because they were holding a private party, and then asked if we had made a reservation. When we said no, we were told they were fully booked. It seems that they either have private functions or are fully booked, leaving little room for walk-ins. Despite trying to contact them multiple times via phone and email, we received no response. It's disappointing that such a basic aspect of running a restaurant is overlooked. They made us feel embarrassed at the door, despite the place being mostly empty. We used to be regular customers at 182, but we won't be returning to De Javu. Good luck attracting customers who appreciate your service.
Was very good service a little rushed to order mains. Food was 7/10 will defo be going back. Cocktail menu was very good.
I recently revisited this restaurant after a long absence and it brought back memories. The new management has really stepped up the food game, the staff is friendly, and they have live music on Sundays. I can't wait to go back again.
I visited the restaurant twice and it was closed both times. I have passed by it several times, but it never seems to be open. It used to be good a few years ago, so I thought the new owners may have improved it. Unfortunately, it is still closed and I am not sure if they are still in business.
This is a hidden gem in the area. The food is absolutely delicious and the menu boasts a great selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
