Unlike certain other well known sushi restaurants, the food here is actually fresh. The food is so fresh that it tastes like it has come straight from the sea. I would say that after being to Japan, this is some of the best sushi outside of the country. The portion sizes are perfect and the selection is great. They have so many good dishes to choose from on the belt that you barely even have to order off the menu although if you do, you will not be disappointed as the hot dishes are delicious. I would highly recommend getting a membership card for here. It cost £12 a year and gets you 50% off on a Monday and Tuesday so you make it back on the first visit.
Moshimo stands out with its sleek and modern ambiance, making it a unique dining experience. Unfortunately, the place is basically an outdoor restaurant, which is not a vibe with cold weather. I actually got sick after dining there because of how cold it was. The staff at Moshimo were accommodating and serviceable, although our food did take a bit longer than expected to prepare. The conveyor belt was a cool feature! However, I did wish there was more variety, as it mostly had the same plates during our visit. In terms of the food, we only got a sushi boat. I did like the bespoke approach of paying as much as you want for the boats. The sashimi was tasty and fresh!
Worst EVER so called sushi we have ever eaten in. Beyond crude sushi was huge lumps of rolled cold rice lumped with slimy fish and whatever they put init. Gulps of mayonnaise stacked under the sushi as flavour lol and considered a dish. Flavours 0 Presentation 0 Taste 0 Waiters 1 We have not been to a worse sushi in our lives... How do people rate this as a place to go?????
I have to say that I was very disappointed with my recent delivery order from Moshimo. The food I received was not fresh at all. The avocados were rotten, the salad was dark and mushy, and the ashio (yellow vegetable) was crunchy and tasteless. It seemed like they just served me the leftovers from the day. I will not be ordering from Moshimo again, especially considering serving rotten avocados is not only unappetizing but also harmful to the stomach.
If you have allergies, it's best to avoid Moshimo. Food safety standards are not followed, and the staff is poorly trained in handling allergen orders. A guest who was allergic to wheat was kicked out of the restaurant for questioning why the soy sauce bottle on the table listed wheat as an ingredient, despite being told it was gluten-free. The restaurant failed to provide a list of allergens, and the staff were uninformed about the difference between wheat and gluten allergies. When asking for a manager, one staff member rudely referred to themselves as "babe." The manager was unable to provide an explanation and instead asked the guests to leave. The restaurant's responses to negative reviews shows a lack of accountability. This incident has been reported to the relevant authorities. Overall, the incident highlights the restaurant's poor attitude towards customer safety and legal obligations. Those who have experienced similar issues are encouraged to reach out.
