Contribuer aux commentairesWe have booked lynn 'vegan food pimp ' over 2 years ago for our high time, which has finally taken place due to covid on Saturday 24 September. at the time she had many positive reviews and several free online articles. read the following reviews I can only assume that she had fallen on bad times and in the last 18 months and as a result began to tear off her customers. sufficient to say after the payment in full lynn's contact with us and the venue was irritated. our host the latest music bar (excellent people) found it very difficult to contact her in the week, which until the high time and. scent is to say that she did not appear on the day, let us out of the bag and was forced to order pizzas for our guests. we called the venue called, lynn has not answered, I have been emailed and whatsapped. still. very disappointed and angry. we will follow a full refund and 't be shy away from court proceedings.
We had booked Lynn in July 2021 ready for our wedding in August 2022. We loved the sample menu and paid the deposit to secure the date. We agreed the second instalment were to be paid after having a taste test. In September 2021 I received an email saying we were late paying the second instalment. I replied apologising but explained that we had agreed to pay the second instalment only after tasting. Lynn’s next email suggested that we were wrong for wanting a taste test as “no one has never not enjoyed my food”. Within her email, Lynn suggested that the quote provided would change if we didn’t pay “as with everything increasing so fast we want to be sure we can stick to all our original quotes”. I tried to contact Lynn but the constant out of office with no return date was the most response I ever received. We were going to have the wedding in our garden however we had to find an alternative venue. Our new venue was only 13 minutes extra for Lynn. All other suppliers confirmed within 24 hours they would be happy to change the venue. It took daily emails over the course of a month for Lynn com back to us. However she expressed this would have high extra costs and “I am having to redo all the bookings for this”. Lynn had never said that she needed to book anything in addition, we are unsure what those extra bookings were. We had provided Lynn with a kitchen at the original and second venue. At 4pm on Saturday 27th August I received a phone call from our wedding venue to say Lynn had a medical and therefore will not be at our wedding. Our wedding was on Sunday 28th at 3pm. The phone came from a mysterious lady who was Lynn 's friend claiming “I can 't leave my name I am just doing a good deed” a suddenly hanging up. 1. What was the plan of action when something goes wrong? She said the preparation would have been done the day before, couldn 't one of her team drop off the food? After talking with Lynn, we find out none of the preparation had even been started, she was in Devon. 2. How did the friend know who to call? The communication was always through our wedding coordinator not the venue itself. 3. Why didn 't she contact the client, me? Luckily, I had mentioned to our venue this may happen and we should plan for it. The Granary did an incredible job! We sympathise with Lynn and hoped she has a quick recovery but would also like a refund as we have paid for two wedding breakfasts. Lynn has not even acknowledged what upset she has caused. Complete scam artist. For some bizarre unknown reason, she seems to have gone from being a legitimate vegan chef to a scam artist. She takes your money then stops replying to messages. Sadly we uncovered all the other negative reviews too late and had to source a new caterer at the last minute having not heard anything from Lynn. If you're considering booking her then please steer well clear and save yourself the stress of dealing with a woman whose new favourite pastime seems to be attempting to ruin couples' wedding days.
Absolutely do not even consider booking this con artist. Once she’s got your money she will go radio silent and not show up. Not worth the stress or hassle. Wish I could give her zero stars at even 1 start seems too much.
We have just been let down by Lynn after having originally booked with her in 2020 for our wedding. Initially, communication was great but since early 2022 she has routinely dropped of the radar, not replying to any messages for a couple of months at a time. We expressed anxiety about this earlier in the year as she was impossible to reach at some points and in response, she was really reassuring and said she was just back-to-back with weddings because of covid-related cancellations but that everything was in-hand for the day itself. 4 days before our wedding, she became totally uncontactable again and had still not confirmed many crucial details like the final menu, whether she had made a plan for a guest with allergies and what time she would arrive. It then got to to the point where we asked if she could simply confirm that she’d be there, but she didn’t even open these messages or return our calls/voicemails. The evening before, we started to find these reviews and, as Lynn had completely stopped opening our messages or answering her phone even just confirm that she would show up for the wedding, we felt we had no other choice but to come up with an emergency food plan. We were so anxious that if we didn’t make a contingency plan at that stage, we were potentially going to have no caterer show up to feed our guests, but this also meant taking on the risk of paying for two lots of food. It was incredibly stressful and if we hadn’t had family and friends to help, I don’t know how we would have resolved it. When Lynn still hadn’t responded to any voicemails, missed calls, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook messages late the night before, we told her not to come as we had already had to make an alternative arrangement and had no faith that she would show. We have now asked her for a refund for the 50% deposit too. We’ve no idea what to do now as Lynn is still not opening any of her messages and we haven’t heard anything from her, so we are wondering if she ever had any intention of showing up. It would be great to help prevent this happening to other couples as the undue stress and potential wasted money it causes is huge. We were really relaxed about our wedding and always wanted it to be a relaxed affair so were quite laid-back about the whole thing otherwise, but even in these circumstances, dealing with Lynn was incredibly stressful. I cannot express how strongly I would recommend avoiding VFP at all costs!
