Lupita's A Mexican - Brighton

I’m not quite sure what the hype is about in Brighton, but my experience at this restaurant was rather disappointing. Despite the place being only half full, we waited a staggering 45 minutes for our food. The waitress checked on us just once during that time and didn’t offer any explanation for the long wait. While the salsa was alright, the main courses were incredibly tasteless—lacking any spices or even a hint of salt. The fajitas were so overcooked they felt more like leather than food. My wife’s enchiladas looked nice, but unfortunately, they were completely flavorless. Maybe it was just an off night; who can say?

My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. My family and I arrived around 1 PM and waited nearly 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table, while another group seated next to us received their drinks, chips, and salsa almost immediately. It was difficult not to notice that we are a white family, while the men who were seated next to us were Mexican and received significantly better service. It felt very unfair. Because of this experience, my family and I will not return to a restaurant that treats customers so unevenly. The service was unacceptable!

My partner and I have visited Lupita’s several times over the past month. We recently relocated to Brighton, and this is the only restaurant we have genuinely fallen in love with since moving here! The staff are wonderful, the food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is incredibly inviting. Plus, the homemade tortillas are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it!

I visited this restaurant for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The meal was incredibly satisfying, and I found the prices to be reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20 per person. Food: 5/5 The standout dishes were the Crispy Beef Tacos and the Chimichanga, both of which were absolutely delicious. Service: 4/5 The service was attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. Atmosphere: 4/5 The atmosphere was inviting and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a tasty lunch!
