What a lovely spot and friendly people. The coffee was excellent as was the cake. Definitely stop in if you are in the neighbourhood.

I had a wonderful lunch at a charming setting, enjoying a delicious toasted sandwich. The decor and atmosphere were lovely, and the food was tasty.

A few strides from the beach front in Kemptown, Brighton you can find the jewel of a place Portland Cafe. The atmosphere was an absolute bliss accompanied by sweet mannered staffs. The seating was very inviting and you can rest assured that they are very comfortable. I ordered the Mature Cheddar, Sweet Chutney and Leaves sandwich an absolute heaven in your mouth. It caresses all the right pallets of your tongue, very delightful indeed. Each sip of Cappuccino Coffee also enhanced the overall experience of this wonder of a place. Definitely worth a try!

Love this place. Lovely atmosphere relaxed and warm. Quality and variety of the food offered is great and the coffee is always delicious. Dog friendly is always a selling point. Try this for a quiet cake and coffee, off the beaten track but worth the relaxing feel and friendly welcome.
