Floor after floor of books from every genre and category imaginable (including a well stocked LGBTQ+ area). On top of that: great food, elevator access, a great view from the top floor, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Brighton. Overall a fantastic place, in particular the atmosphere in contrast to the turbulence of the city.
A great place (3rd floor) with a lot atmosphere and choices in pastries. What a great idea to create a coffee place in a bookstore! Tending after used tables, cleaning the plates and pots properly could use some extra attention, especially for such a great place.
What a beautiful light and bright, cool and calm store. There's a great atmosphere, fabulous stock and a delightful cafe on floor 3 with enough space to make you feel special. Loved it, so glad we found it after wandering down to the prom after arriving at the train station.
It covers quite a large space spread over five floors yet still feels cosy. I particularly like the third floor with its cafe, sporting bright and occasionally quite sexy screenprints from the local Tidy Press (this is Brighton after all). After a lunchtime concert and a splendid fish lunch where better to relax with a camomile tea and charge my I-phone (plenty of sockets available). Overall this Brighton branch is one of my all-time favourites outside London, the others being Guildford with an elegant glass walkway to a first floor cafe and Deansgate Manchester for its much grander spaces and cafe.
You will find all the books you are looking for. Staff is extremely polite and will look for the books you are searching. Nice coffee place where you can read or work with enough place. Highly recommended.
