Great service too and it was a lovely...little footpath table to eat at. I highly recommend this affordable Cafe in a city that can have inflated prices. Almost 4 times the price for a B&E just up the road from this one. If you are in the vicinity or on your way to south bank grab a quick brekky here.
Bad service by owner who was rude and defensive. Do not give tax revenues although promised, email and ham and cheese croissant was not fresh yesterday! The locals seem to have adapted to their offers or not to choose much else.

Ripe was a short walk from where I stayed. In the first morning they tried for coffee and it was really good, the girls are friendly and polite. The next day, coffee and cooked eggs had everything very good. Then the next day the disappointment came....While the picked eggs had, the people at the table started smoking next to me, in the dining area and three meters from the door. Management did nothing about the problem. This happened the next day. Breakfast stopped there and coffee was taken.
Ripe was a great find, a tiny café on Merivale Street in South Brisbane that made us a large cup of coffee every one, full of taste and perfect time. Only outdoor seats were available, three or four sweet tables and chairs on the walkway,... perfect for a short stay.
