I will begin by talking about the restaurant itself and the ambiente in the rule - the personal seemed in the regular young and occasionally inexperienced, but they were friendly and tried hard. there were noisy reggae music game (that a friend told me that she was much experienced in sri lanka and that the place was decorated in a cheerful, bright tropical way of a wise, that all together with the cocktail specialities gave one the not quite pleasant feeling of being in a turtle bay. but thanks to goodness was wrong in it. the cocktail specialties (all two of the same daquiris for £15 were delicious and eating was absolutely crazy. certainly the best sri lankas eat that I have ever eaten. head and shoulder over all other places in the did (we had previously eaten from the kospalme on gloucester street much and really enjoyed it. but not anymore! we started with the tear and share dosa that was a fun and interactive start to the meal. glossy, crisp and huge with a trio of delicious dips, we ordered 2 for the six of us, but you would have done how they were a meter in size. my man and I shared the bone marrow curry that was literally - two huge pieces of soft fat bone marrow with a thick rich curry sauce served on flaky, buttery paratha. soft bowl crab on delicate cocose nut. deep roasted crispy lamb rolls with a spicy smoky sauce. juicy hot sweet devilled chicken wing. just so good. we have also tried some things that our friends have ordered, a spicy pork curry that was from this world, kartoffels, cocossambal, cashew curry (probably my least preferred thing, but the vegans liked it very much. overall a really great experience and we will certainly be back. I can't wait!
Amazing ambiance, drinks and service! Great for a cocktail night out! Stokes Croft was missing a place like this!
Great eating and beautiful cocktails. our waitress was so friendly and thoughtful. we had the watermelon chili cocktail that was great, although could have been a bit spicier tbh!
Went with two vegetarian friends so we shared some vegetarian options. All good, a few things were really amazing. Atmosphere was great. Staff were lovely. 3 big guys ate well with a drink each for £77, which i thought was great value.
My favourite is the chicken wings. All the drink there's are interesting. I went back a couple of times with friends. We all enjoyed the food.
