Instead, be prepared for delicious, freshly prepared Indian cuisine that is unbeatable in both quality and quantity. Prices are very reasonable. Without a doubt, the best Indian meal I have ever enjoyed.
My friends discovered this place, by chance, last year. One has to travel from the coast to Bromley South station, so it’s a mid way point. Previously we met at the Spoons in Bromley South, and as much as I love a Spoons, it was always heaving and had to scramble around to gradually collect chairs. Now we have discovered The Crown, we meet there now instead, about every three months. The food is lovely, the service is great, and it’s a very pleasurable experience. Prices are very reasonable too. It doesn’t look much from the outside, you could walk right past it . But don’t! It’s like a tardis, it’s massive inside, and like a hidden gem. Free parking too. You choose from a genuine Indian or Chinese menu. Different from the standard types that you usually get. Much tastier and they even give us a container to take our leftovers home! I’ve now told others about this place and how good it is. We are all going to meet there again soon. Highly recommend. One of best meals anywhere around, and service with a smile. Try it and bet you’ll return!
I recently tried an Indian takeaway that was the worst I have ever had. The korma was not creamy, resembling more of a tikka consistency. The vegetables seemed to be from a frozen mix. The naan bread was hard to chew. After eating it, I felt sick and spent the next day unsure of which end it would come out of. This meal was disgusting and overpriced. If I had not spent so much time finding a place open on a Sunday in Bromley, I would have returned it and asked for a refund.
This used to be my favorite Indo-Chinese restaurant in Bromley, but the food quality has drastically deteriorated on my last few visits and the prices have soared. It's disappointing to see. The food now just seems like typical, overpriced, greasy Chinese food instead of the homemade, authentic dishes they used to serve. I will not be returning.
A rare family get together as we live in Scotland so there were 11 of us including one small person. The menu is extensive so there was choice for everyone. The food was all served at the right time and was enjoyed by everyone. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively. The service was spot on friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.
