The Original Pancake House - Brookfield

Father and I had the Sweeden plate, delightful change from normal pancakes. Fantastic quick service. Really liked they give you a small pitcher of water for self refills.

Great food every time! Best bacon I have ever had. The potatoes are also delicious. Everything I have had here has been amazing.

This particular experience was not very good. I ordered the brioche French toast. It came out hot but it was rubbery and hard to cut into. They did replace my dish and I did see somewhat of an improvement but I have been to other establishments where my breakfast experiences were noticeably better. The restaurant is clean and has a homey feeling. The staff are pleasant. I would recommend going and trying for yourself as this may have been a one off meal experience.

So myself, my wife and niece went here Sunday and I had to ask for our waitress after about 10-15 minutes of waiting. Finally a very nice young waitress was passing by and I asked her if she could find our waitress? She said yes just a minute. Then she came back shortly to help us and took care of us. Then another waitress brought our food out but she was always in such a hurry you almost had to blurt out everything you needed in 2 seconds before she said ok then disappeared. Megan needs to be a little better at being more patient with customers. I would love to see how she would react if she had some waiter or waitress treat her the same way. Also I have eaten here many times and we were given old bacon with our order. I told Megan about it and she brought out some better looking bacon, but we were nearly done with our food by then. The other waitress that took our order, I wish would have been our waitress. She was patient and kind. I really don 't want to believe that you only get the best food before 12:00 pm, cause we came around 1:00 pm or so.

Excellent service. Decent breakfast. Veggie omelet was good size Wheat toast was good Bacon thick, well cooked Breakfast potatoes, a little mushy Coffee was good, Fresh squeezed oj was perfect.
