Great fried chicken. Cool music. Friendly and relaxed.
We came here on a Sunday night around peak dinner time and were able to get a table. It’s self seating and you’ll have to order at the bar but service is quick and the food is even better. The fried chicken plate is a gem. Definitely some of the best fried chicken you can get in NYC. The last time we had it was almost a half a decade ago and it was still as amazing as the first time. Perfectly fried and all meat, barely any bone which was surprising and highly appreciated. The tuna melt was also fantastic, mixed with both red and white onion. The kale Caesar was slightly on the salty side but made a refreshing break between the fried chicken. Fries are fries, portion was huge. We spent about $70 dollars including tip for everything. Great place with even greater food! Would recommend.
Love The Commodore, just wish the prices were not so high. Would definitely be there more often, love that place though.
The food was amazing! Our server was a bit hard to locate at times. The food was fantastic aside from the fries which I was a bit surprised about because the fried chicken sandwich and fried chicken platter were perfect and loved up to the hype. Not sure if this is significant but the bathroom was truly disgusting which makes a difference about food cleanliness and something I also think about with restaurants.
