Excellent falafel platter, fresh ingredients, generous portions, reasonably priced, polite, pleasant and friendly staff with great COVID procedures in place. Wish I had taken a photo of my platter.....next time! As I'll surely be returning.
I 'd have to be a real j to give less than 4 stars but going even higher as a kind of karmic adjustment which I 'll explain in a sec. This is a covid review of a doordash delivery experience I believe such challenges must be factored in. Also my expectations were low. Real low. 830pm with few choices and wanting a low carb fresh meal. Yep, I was flirting with major disappointment like from my porch to the trash level sadness. My Family eating halal (me not so particular but always feel that guilt when I bring my unholy meats into the house) adds even more of a complication. But God bless you Halal Burger Zone (man that name even screams low quality, food truck, spare parts but I digress), YOU ROSE TO THE CHALLENGE AND IMPRESSED ME (enough to write this weak sauce semi paean to the unjustly disqualified underdog cause that 's what you are in my book). This review is part shock at the sheer deliciousness and freshness of the dishes (got the mixed kabob platter which I declare yummy and my go to dish at HBZ, and a mixed shwarma platter in which chicken pieces were delish a triumvirate of juicey, Smokey and fatty rich tasting chunks, my only small complaint being I do not like the flat processed prefrozen prefab lamb strips, but I know some people do and they were rendered surprisingly tolerable thru some alchemical process (should this magic affect the halal label? Hmmm) but a magic only HBZ has thus far achieved IMO, so no problem, I ate em. My review is also rooted in some shame for my many months of reluctance to try HBZ due to that scourge of our age prejudgement. I had suffered mightily at this location 's prior incarnation and prior owners and did not take the ownership change seriously as I should have. Man is this a different place (at least foodwise). So if you want to be woker don 't be a jerky prejudger like me (is woker a word and if so, is it offensive to use in a yelp review? I 'm gonna apologize to the millenials reading this you guys seem to read everything and usually have a well thought out politely worded response which I wholeheartedly support in advance thank God they 'll be taking over soon and sorry about global warming but you 're welcome for the unprecedented drop in disease and global poverty and maybe Bill Gates, but I digress again). So in summary Great Job HBZ, the chicken shwarma n chicken kebobs were terrific, up to sit down Turkish restaurant quality. Rice was well flavored (what slipped thru, low carb remember), salad was crispy n fresh with plenty of cucumbers. Sauce was applied perfectly and had a nice hot bite that was just right (though next time I 'm asking for it on the side so I can adjust it better). Final thoughts oh HBZ, I totally misjudged you, you fed me a fine meal with a helping of humble pie but for God 's Sake change your name to something more respectable, you deserve to be more than a zone for burgers (I think the halal part is okay for now, but we 'll know for sure after the election I suppose).
The best burgers I've had in New Jersey. I recommend the beef or chicken cheeseburger! I also LOVE their grape leaves. Delicious.
Wow! What a hidden gem I have found in the middle of a Hamilton township. One of the best and juiciest Cheese burger I've had in NJ. Everything is made to order and Baklava is also made fresh on premesis. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Limited outdoor seating is also available!
