If you want to meet your friends in a less conventional place, far from the crowded Old Center, then Plastilina it is... Here you will find restored furniture, gramophone and other items from the household of the grandmother. And everything is so colorful and different that... you feel like Alice in Wonderland! They have some tasty homemade drinks (lemonades and other things), some sandwichis and good music. Plastilina is not a restaurant, is a place for chat and drinks. You can easily find a parking space on the streets around the bar.
Another old place that turned into a good place to spend time with friends. Since it was a new place, the owners are very warm and friendly with customers. Enjoy!
Not too long ago the creators of Acuarela came with a new project that is Plastilina. It is in the center of the city, in an old house. It has almost the same style as Acuarela. The prices are okay. You have a very good lemonade.... I enjoy spending time there because you can relax. It's very quiet what I appreciate. It's different from other similar places in Bucharest.
Recently opened (May 2014 Plastilina is a nice place located in the very center of Bucharest, a few minutes away from the University square. It is located in the courtyard and old stable of a beautiful, elegant historical building (1893, listed as a historical monument ....Events are actually hold in the building (independent theater plays, jam sessions, art and design exhibitions . The owners purposedly promote Romanian art, food and beverages. From the second page of the menu the client is warned: There is no Cola, no Cuba Libre or Mojito here . Instead someone can try a socata or a catinada or braga , all Romanian specialities one could hardly find elsewhere. Beer blonde and black comes from a small artisanal factory located in the Carpathians and tastes good. Food consists mainly in sandwiches and desserts (quite good too . It is not a place to go if you want to feast, but it is a decent offer at a decent price. Otherwise, decoration both interior and exterior was done by the lady of the house and it is lovely. The music is excellent café concert, jazz, French chansonnette (and also allowing someone to carry a conversation without shouting, which is rather rare in Bucharest . Definitely a place to see in Bucharest, a place to share with your friends, your sweetheart or your family or, why not, with your (informal : business partners. And if, by any chance, you 'll meet the owners, they are really nice people and will probably invite you to visit the house, a real architectural jewel that will give you an idea about why Bucharest was called Little Paris in the first decades of the XXth century.
