La Dumbrava - Călăraşi

The food was ok, nothing special, but is a small city so you don't need to have big expectations. The problem was with the bill. We've ordered 1 portion of cheese croquettes, but on the bill were 3 portions. When I've asked the waiter why, he said that 1 portion was too small, so he decided for us. For me this was rude and I don't think that the waiter can decide how much I will eat. I guess was only his way to bring more money for the restaurant, still it wasn't right. And guess what? I ate only 1 portion, in the end.

There aren't a lot of good restaurant options in Calarasi, but this one is really nice and whenever we visit, we go here. The place has a nice and welcoming terrace, a good menu (offering a variety of Romanian dishes with pork, beef and chicken, but also some Italian dishes like pasta, bruschetta or pizza). Their lasagne is tasty, not like the original one, but it does the trick. What I really love to eat here are the chicken crispy strips (covered in corn flakes and then fried) which come with a nice sauce (sour cream, dill and garlic). They are really tasty and you might want extras. Beverages are various, whatever your heart desires. Good place, mostly with welcoming staff.

Not too good, not too bad, i'd say somewhere in between..... the prices are ok, the food is ok... OK, that's all i can say about this restaurant.....

Good restaurant with nice food. Tested a lot choice from menu without being deceived. So, no problem eating there.As usually, the request to get meat cooked medium-rare has not been respected, and is usually cooked medium. It might be just a problem of translation.However, service people are not really friendly, never smiling and doing the minimum. This is not really a pleasure to be welcomed like this.
