Ocell Negre - Calella

Visiting Spain from the US and heard about this great new restaurant from a friend. Had a full meal, with various starters, a main, and dessert. The food was outstanding and I highly recommend the trip out to eat there (we were staying in Barcelona and drove up for the food). It is about an hour north of Barcelona but well worth it. One of our starters was a great tomato salad with an interesting pickled twist. And the main was a sausage which hit the spot--not too spicy, but just right in terms of flavor. Sat out on the terrace, which was great as well.

This place has great atmosphere and the terrace looks out to the hills. It’s a great place to have a few drinks with friends and family then enjoy their delicious organic cuisine. We had the Margarita pizza and burger with all the fixings.. they were both amazing. The service was great and the owner so kind. She came and told us about the philosophy of the restaurant and about all the local produce and products. Really great experience. Can’t wait to go back!
