My wife and I used to love Edo Japan. However, we found the sukiyaki beef to be bland and lacking in flavor during our recent visits. This was consistent at both the location we visited in Okotoks and other locations in Alberta. We believe the reason for this is that the teriyaki sauce seemed to be watered down, resulting in a thinner consistency. In comparison, the locations we have visited on Vancouver Island and in the Fraser Valley had a thicker sauce packed full of flavor. We were very disappointed with the Edo locations we visited in Alberta and hope to find a better option in the area.
I had the chicken ramen soup. A tad too much fluid. Had this before and enjoyed this time too. Will come back. Spent for lunch
The food at this restaurant is consistently fresh and cooked perfectly with no lingering aftertaste. The service is efficient and the staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.
I ordered beef udon soup but received a different dish instead. It wasn't a big deal though. Despite the mix-up, the meal I had for lunch today was still delicious.
