Schooner's Neighbourhood Pub - Calgary

Wednesday nights are the best wings night in town. And the server Zoe was so lovely and hardworking. Will definitely go again. Nice crowdParking: Free parking. Lots

Schooners is a near permanent Calgary fixture for pub fare and neighborhood beer swilling. Take a cab, you'll be in no condition to drive home, especially if it's Karaoke night. (3/5 stars on food because my eggs were over easy, not medium ? .

I really like the place, but the service needs to improve A LOT!!! At least for Wednesdays night.I have been living in the neighborhood for almost 7 years an I've at Schooner's several times, but last night my wife and a couple of friends went there and had a bad bad experience.We went there on a Wednesday night to show our friends the place given the fact that they recently moved to this area. The first impression that we all had was a very disrespectful waitress with dark hair passing by. The place was full and we tried to ask that waitress with black hair if it was possible for us to find a place and she answered in a very rude way that she was not able to help us and to look in a different area of the place.After that we tried to decide if we want to wait or go, and the same waitress with black hair passed by an pushed one of my friends just because she was on her way.After that we moved to a different area to try avoid being around that disrespectful waitress with black hair, and some nice ladies offer us ti seat and share their table, and guess what? The same waitress with black hair approached to the table (not on her area) and asked in a very bad way if we were causing problems, which I don't know how she got to that conclusion given the fact that the ladies sittingon the table were laughing with us. At that point we decided to go and my wife complained with a different waitress and told her what happened and how disappointed and upset we were.I have worked in customer service for several years and I always avoided to pass any frustration or stress to any of my customers.I hope that the owners and or the managers read this review and talk to their employees, so they can avoid this experience to happen to another customer, because as I mentioned at the beginning I really like the place and I will like to me and my friends keep going to it, but it will not keep happening if we are treated like that again.

Have been going there off and on for the past 15 or so years. Food is always good.

Excellent atmosphere and great service. Also best quality fish and chips in town, bar none. (Only place that properly serves cod or halibut)Shout out to Erica whose excellent service barely exceeds her beauty.
